A perfect calm morning at Abraham Lake in the Canadian Rockies. There was immersion on multiple levels with this beautiful scene. The obvious immersion of the Aspens in the beautiful Turquoise waters of Abraham Lake, but also my immersive state of mind with the incredible scenes I was surrounded with during my fall photography trip to this location in September and October 2025. As I explored the area I often had to pinch myself that I had finally timed my visit to the area correctly, (third time’s a charm!) with this year having high enough water levels to flood these Aspen Groves and create this harmonious fusion of the fall foliage with the turquoise waters. I really couldn’t get enough of these pastel like near perfect complimentary colour combinations. To capture the majority of the best compositions I too literally had to become fully immersed in the lake and luckily I brought my trusty chest waders to do just that!
