This was shot on a beautiful early morning in September 2025 in the small seaside village of Cowichan Bay on Vancouver Island. Cowichan Bay has been very good to me over the years, with this morning being particularly good! The mist was moving in ethereal shapes and waves eventually becoming illuminated by the soft sunrise glow flooding into the bay. Often I will combine my photography with poetry or lyrics and thought these lyrics suited well. They are from the song ‘Sail’ by Christopher Cross.
