‘Snowed In’ – Cypress Mountain, North Shore Mountains, Vancouver BC. High in the North Shore Mountains above Vancouver, the mountain sides are dotted with idyllic little cabins tucked away in the forests. This cabin was an amazing find as my daughter and our dog Jadi explored these woods during a snowshoe outing in early Jan 2022. We ended up meeting the owner of this cabin as he was just about to clear the snow off his roof, explaining that he has just cleared it off the previous week and there was now another three feet of snow! This cabin looked like a little Gingerbread House tucked into the forest, something out of Hansel and Gretel, minus the cannibalistic witch haha! Not sure why kids stories always have to be so creepy!!!
