‘Fire & Ice’ – Mount Seymour, North Shore Mountains, Vancouver BC. I love that from downtown Vancouver after a half hour drive and a half hour hike I can be transported to a stunning Winter Wonderland like you see here! This outing was with the intent to capture some views overlooking Vancouver but I got side tracked when I came across this beautiful scene haha. I did eventually reach the peak but it was all clouded in and by the time I got up there the sun had pretty much set. I definitely prefer to approach my photography outings without a plan as it takes all the pressure off and the lack of expectations allow scenes like this to have all the more impact and appreciation when you are able to witness such beauty without having researched, planned and pre-visualized! The pink tones of the setting sun bouncing off of the mist create such a unique atmosphere to the scene and the textures of the untouched pillow snow leading you to the frosted trees in the background complete the visual experience!
